If you want to see old historic spots we have them for you. If you'd like to see some natural beauty, we have deltas, rivers, Salt Plains, sinkholes, karstlands and a variety of birds and wildlife. The Dene people of this land, as your guides, will insure your safety and peace of mind knowing that they have lived and survived here for centuries.

• Travel into Wood Buffalo National Park (Salt Plains, hike to salt mounds, experince the salt plains, birds and wildlife)

• Lunch at Salt Plains overview

• Canoe on the Salt River (Thebacha campsite to Slave River)

• Return to Thebacha campsite for cookout

• Return to accommodation

• Helicopter excursion over Slave River Rapids

• Flyout fishing to Donovan Lake

• Shore lunch

• Fishing - 'catch & release'

• Return to town

• Drive to Fort Fitzgerald for a traditional cultural experience, including supper

• Flyout over Slave River, Peace-Athabasca Delta, Wood Buffalo National Park to Fort Chipewyan

• Visit Fort Chipewyan, Alberta'a oldest community and their Heritage Museum

• Lunch at the Fort Chipewyan Lodge overlooking Lake Athasbasca

• Flight back to Fort Smith following the Slave River

• Dinner cookout at Queen Elizabeth Park

• Return to accommodation

• Drive/hike to Mountain Rapids to see the pelicans nesting and fishing

• Explore the rapids

• Lunch at Pelican Rapids

• Drive to Fort Fitzgerald, a boat ride across Slave River and up the Dog River

• Return to Fort Fitzgerald to experience a traditional cookout at the cultural centre

• Return to accommodation

• Breakfast

• Boat ride on the Slave River to experience the natural beauty and watch the pelicans fishing in the rapids

• Return to accommodation to prepare for departure

• Go to airport for departure south

Payment Terms

The prices listed do not include the 6% GST (Goods and Services Tax).

All registrations must be accompanied by a minimum deposit of $100.00 for each person registered. Payment in full is required six (6) weeks prior to trip departure.

Cancellations will be refunded less a $100.00 administration fee up to three (3) weeks prior to the departure date. Thereafter, no refund will be given. However, a later tour may be taken the same season or rebooked for the following year. Deposits may be sold or transferred to other parties.
